WRITE THE CONTAINED FEATURE FILM
What do BURIED, LOCKE, OXYGEN, THE GUILTY and SEARCHING have in common? They're all contained movies, meaning movies with a limited cast and few locations that were or could have been produced on a low-budget. Producers and directors seek out contained scripts. Why? Because they're much easier to finance and produce -- as such there is less financial risk involved and more potential for the film to make a profit. Therefore, a strong, character-driven, contained screenplay can be an attractive proposition for producers. But how do you take your ideas and characters and write a screenplay for a contained film which could more easily attract interest from the industry? How do you make the most out of the limitations and restrictions you've given yourself? How do you expand the scope of your story while keeping it contained? This interactive course will help you build solid foundations for a contained film script that stands a strong chance of getting produced and seen by an audience.
