WRITE THAT SCRIPT! (FULL PACKAGE)

Do you feel you'd benefit from a supportive workshop environment to complete a feature-length script?

The Write That Script! Full Package is an intensive 10-week screenwriting workshop (max 8) for those who'd like to complete a full feature script and receive guidance during the development process.

The first five weeks (Part I) are dedicated to the completion of a four-page outline of the story and Act 1 of the script.

The last five weeks (Part II) focus on Act 2 and Act 3.

The pre-requisite for this course is to write a two-page outline that you will bring to the first session.

Who Should Take This Course:

  • Writers/directors who have an outline for a movie and would love to make headway with it.
  • Writers/directors who already have a script but feel it needs work and would benefit from rebuilding their story from the way up.
  • New writers or experienced writers who seek a supportive environment of like-minded creatives to develop their stories.

The course is workshop oriented. The assignments will be due no later than noon the following day. You will be expected to read three of the students’ work per week in order to give them notes in the class. In turn, you will benefit from the feedback and support of the tutor and three of your peers to write your pages and revise them along the way.

By the end of this course, you will have:

  • A well-developed first draft of a feature script.
  • A network of supportive writers.
  • Practical tools that will support the development of your script and your writing practice in general.
