PACKAGE & PITCH YOUR SCREENPLAY
You've written and rewritten your screenplay,
until finally writing: THE END. But it's only the beginning, as the time to pitch your script has now come! But summarising your story in a few words can be a daunting task. This one month mentorship will give you a clear structure to create a sales package for your screenplay and will give you confidence to sell your story! FORMAT:
4 x 2h30 online group sessions + individual exercises & feedback Aimed at screenwriters looking to sell their scripts (TV or Film) and who want to learn how to structure a sales deck and to practice their pitch. Each online session will include a 45min max lecture, then 1h30 of group discussion and feedback. There will be coursework and exercises in between sessions. Participants should be ready to share their work with others as the sessions will include group feedback. DEADLINE TO SIGNUP: MAY 28th 2020 CONTENT:
Prior to 1st session: Every participant will be asked to send a 1 page treatment (including a logline and synopsis), the first 10 pages of their scripts, and a short paragraph explaining what they plan to do with their script. Everyone will receive an individual two pages bullet point feedback notes outlining the strengths and weaknesses of the story. Everyone will be asked to prepare for a 2 min verbal pitch. Growing up between France and the Netherlands, Alizée developed a passion for multicultural stories at a young age. After studying Film Production at the Arts University Bournemouth (UK) and FAMU Prague (Czechia), she graduated with an MA in Creative and Cultural Entrepreneurship from Goldsmiths University London.
From there, she started reading scripts for international competitions and production companies including A Thousand Films in partnership with Sid Gentle, and Entertainment One among others. She has worked as a reader since 2015 and reads an average of 2-3 projects and scripts per week. In 2017, she joined Euroscript as a script editor while working with independent companies on a freelance basis. Most recently, she script edited an animated TV series for Nucco Brain Studio and is currently script editing a live action feature film in development. Overall, she has worked across the film, TV, animation, and web content sectors. In 2019, she was a jury member of the BAFTA Children’s Awards. Find out more... |
