Euroscript's French script service is intended to create long-lasting links between French and English-speaking screenwriters, directors and producers.
 
France always had an important role in the history of European cinema. Directors such as Jean-Luc Godard and François Truffaut and Claire Denis, Luc Besson, and Michel Gondry, shaped this history and its evolution through their films.

The overseas success of films such as Amour or Intouchables clearly indicate that French movies are still popular amongst international audiences.
 
Many French screenwriters, directors, and producers, especially those inspired by Hollywood and genre films, are interested in launching their careers abroad. Developing a project in English for an international audience can offer many opportunities, but for many, the linguistic and cultural barrier is a difficult obstacle to overcome.
 
Screenwriters writing in a language other than their maternal tongue can experience certain problems after finalising the structure, characters and story, especially when it comes to linguistic cultural expressions or nuanced slang relevant to an English-speaking audience.
