WRITING for ANIMATION
Develop Your Story & Pitch

Friday, May 15th, 9.30 am - 3.30 pm
In Person (Central London)

Picture

You have an idea for an animated film or series, and you want to develop it further?

This in-person workshop is for you!
Through a series of practical exercises and group discussions, we'll explore how to develop your animated characters and stories.

CONTENT:

Aimed at screenwriters and animators with an animated film or series idea (it doesn't need to be fully fleshed out).

You will learn:

  • How to develop ideas for animated films and series into stories.

  • How to flesh out animated characters.

  • The storytelling possibilities and limitations of animation, and how to use them to tell your story.

  • How to write a logline and a story synopsis.

  • World Building: How to describe your story's world.

  • What do animation producers look for?

  • How to pitch an animated project.

By the end of the day, you will have a one-pager for your animated project that you can use when pitching.

Those who would like written feedback on their one-pager can send it to the tutor after the workshop (at no extra cost).
