WRITING CRIME DRAMA FOR TELEVISION
|
AN ONLINE, ONE-DAY WORKSHOP
COURSE OVERVIEW Crime drama remains one of television’s most dynamic and enduring genres. Explore how to craft compelling crime stories for the screen—stories that go beyond plot mechanics to reveal the emotional, psychological, and moral complexity of characters caught in high-stakes situations. Participants will examine how point-of-view shapes audience empathy, how unreliable narrators and criminal protagonists can deepen mystery, and how legal and ethical constraints can become creative opportunities. Whether you're developing a spec script, pitching a new series, or refining your storytelling instincts, this workshop offers practical tools and dramaturgical insights that will elevate your work.
