HOW TO MAKE IT AS A SCREENWRITER
A ONE-DAY PRACTICAL WORKSHOP WITH SCREENWRITER ANJI LOMAN FIELD
It’s a dream shared by many creatives, that some day they’ll write a fabulous script and see their own characters and stories brought to life on screen by the likes of, say, Idris Elba, Kate Winslet, David Tennant or Dame Judi Dench. But how do you turn that fantasy into a reality and actually become a professional screenwriter? In this hands-on workshop - peppered with practical exercises - you’ll explore what it takes to forge a successful career in writing for film and/or television, from the basics right through to getting insider tips on how to break into the industry. By the end of the workshop, the whole process will have been de-mystified and you’ll have a clear idea of whether or not this is a career you want to pursue. If the answer is positive, you'll be armed with information to help you plan a clear strategy for your own screenwriting journey. OVERVIEW: This workshop offers a rare opportunity to get expert guidance & support on your potential screenwriting career from a professional writer/show-runner. In Anji's own words: "I'm not going to pretend there are easy steps to success in this business, but there ARE steps. Those who learn what they are - and develop an informed strategy - are far more likely to make it than those who rely purely on instinct and luck.” |
