HOW TO CREATE THE MARKET-READY PITCH DECK

Picture
A compelling pitch deck is one of the most powerful tools a writer can have.

Whether you’re pitching a feature film, a TV pilot or limited series, your deck is the document that opens doors and helps producers, financiers and partners understand the project at a glance.

This practical, hands‑on workshop guides you through the full process of creating a professional, market‑ready pitch deck.

You’ll learn:
  • what a deck is for;
  • what it must contain;
  • how to tailor it to different audiences;
  • and how to design it so it looks credible, confident and industry‑ready.

You'll prepare your:
  • Logline
  • Short synopsis
  • Longer treatment
  • Descriptions of world and tone
  • Characters (how many and which to omit)
  • Marketability of your script
  • Budget level
  • Team (writer, director, producer)

We’ll also look at different design template options such as Canva, Adobe Express, PowerPoint and Apple Keynote, so you can choose the platform that best suits your design confidence.

By the end, you’ll have the beginnings of your own deck and a clear roadmap for completing it.
