GETTING YOUR IDEA ONTO THE PAGE
Do you have an idea for a film or TV script?
Good screenplays start with a clear story, solid structure and strong characters. This one-day workshop will show new ways of looking at your story and how to wrangle ideas into a gripping outline you can build your screenplay from. We will be looking at character, structure and turning points and how you can apply them to your project. What do your characters want in the story? Is their goal defined? What skills and attributes do they possess that will help them succeed? We will explore how writers craft their story structure at the outline stage, to give an audience a specific experience. We will examine plot and character, wants and needs, clear goals and how a character’s actions, both internal and external can reveal their core character and give stories the momentum to unfold engagingly. Hands on - come with laptop, paper and pens. |
