ADAPT ABILITY – THE ART OF ADAPTATION
The best adaptations are not rewrites but reinventions.
Whether you adapt your own work or someone else's, in this workshop you can learn how to transform material from one medium to another, creating an original new work that is also faithful to the spirit of its source. It's often harder to adapt your own material than another person's. For one thing, the original writer is always there, giving you a hard time. But whatever the source of the material you're adapting, you can use the same key steps and techniques to produce a unique new work that evolves naturally from its predecessor and takes it a step further on its creative journey. |
