Do you want to know how to find a producer?
To find out if you need an agent?
How to know when your project is ready to sell?
How you get your script read by the right people and, if they like it, what to ask for?
Most screenwriters fall down not for lack of talent or of trying, but from not knowing how to market their ideas.
Often it takes only the smallest shift to turn a script or series proposal from good to compelling, a hair's breadth between a script that sells and one that doesn't. We'll be looking at what you should know to make your work saleable without selling out.
I have had writers and directors come to my seminars and sell their projects based on the ideas we developed in the workshop. Working TV and film writer Dan Sefton wrote:
"Just to tell you that I sold my script yesterday. Attended the workshop on Saturday, made the pitch on Tuesday, did the deal on Friday. The 'angle' you so generously supplied is what swung it. Thank you for all your help and advice."
On this intensive one-day workshop for a small group, you will get practical exercises and personal feedback to help you prepare your script for the market, and then make sure you know how to track down the right cinema and TV producers and how to make the best possible deal.
