Script editing allows for great creativity, and
considerable pleasure, in being involved not only in the process of
writing for the screen, but also in working with the writers who fashion the
scripts.
It’s a
fascinating job, often used as a stepping stone to more senior roles in TV or
film production, and is a traditional route to becoming a producer, although it
can be extremely involving and satisfying in its own
right.
You’ll develop
fundamental skills essential in the role of script editor, understanding
structure, plot, dialogue and characters.
This series of four evening classes will
prepare you for communicating and interacting with writers, reading scripts by
established name television writers and then discussing and analysing these
scripts with the actual writers who created them.
